The MARLENE Brunch

The Marlene Brunch, a new Saturday series uniting live music, dazzling performances, and delicious food available every Saturday, from 11.30am to 3.30pm. Expect your glasses to stay full, with unlimited Prosecco or spritzes (yes, unlimited!) for 90 minutes for a fixed price of £30.. Inspired by Marlene Dietrich’s groundbreaking film Der Blaue Engel (The Blue Angel), and with the star as Engel’s enduring muse, the brunch captures her timeless allure and the spirit of performance, reimagined for a modern London audience. Just as Marlene embodied glamour, reinvention, and artistic daring, the series brings together soul, pop, retro jazz, and burlesque to bring something new and exciting to the city’s brunch scene. Launched on 18th October with a performance from the fabulous Selina Albright, known for her soulful, multi-genre vocals and evocative song-writing. On 25th October, the spotlight turns to Miss Jolie Papillon, Burlesque Idol UK winner and star of the world-renowned La Clique. Brunch highlights include: Brioche French Toast, Lobster Roll, Engel Breakfast Hot Dog and Black Forest Pancakes from Engel chefs, Samantha Williams and Lorena Tomasi.

8th November 2025 - ATILA - Retro Jazz

Atila is an established Jazz singer from the UK. His interpretations of the American Songbook are internationally renowned, taking influence mainly from early Frank Sinatra. Atila began music professionally aged 15 with local big band ‘Young Jazz’. First playing saxophone, but then encouraged by Phil Revens to sing. He was invited by Bill Ashton to feature with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra in 2002.

Atila learned his craft with NYJO, following extensive UK touring he fronted the group on the Norwegian Sun Jazz Cruise, with special guests Benny Golson and Curtis Fuller.

Then followed an album with NYJO. ‘Something Old, Something New’ (NYJCD023) was something of a debut record for Atila, being described by ALL ABOUT JAZZ; “he’s only a step or two away from becoming one of the finest young jazz singers to
emerge in quite some time” Recently Atila has returned to the studio with an ambitious project centred around the early musical career of Nat King Cole. ‘King for a day’ came out of Atila’s long running residency at the Park Plaza hotel and the Arts Club Dover Street.

15th November 2025 - JERMAIN JACKMAN - R&B Soul

Jermain Jackman, born and raised in Hackney, combines his musical talent with pursuing his role as an activist. He was crowned winner of BBC’s The Voice UK in 2014, tagged as being the ‘Singing Politician’ by Sir Tom Jones.

Jermain is determined to use his voice as a tool for social change. He is the former chair of Islington’s Fair futures Commission and Hackney Young Futures Commission, former advisor for the National Citizens Service, and now Chair of Black Men For Change, an infrastructure organisation aiming to improve the lives and outcomes of Black boys and men, Board member for IDPAD Hackney centre (International Decade for People of African Descent) and working with the Baobab Foundation, a Black-led funding organisation – He is concerned that too often the voices of the most marginalised of people are ignored. 

As such, Jermain is determined to raise awareness of those feeling disenfranchised and without opportunities, for example, by amplifying and centring their voices as the first step towards finding and delivering solutions that address the complex issues many communities face.

22nd November 2025 - NATALIE WILLIAMS - R&B Soul

Undisputed darling of Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Natalie Williams, is a veteran of the British music sphere. Since beginning her residency during the re-opening of the Club in 2007, the vocalist and songwriter has enjoyed a rich, varied music career, garnering awards and devoted fans along the way. Whilst Williams’ name may not crop up regularly in the music media, most successful vocalists coming out of the UK are on familiar terms with the influential musician. Grammy winning artist, Sam Smith, once went to watch her show as a teen. Smith says,

Natalie helped me understand Soul music, and her Soul Family Sundays residency at Ronnie’s is what made me realise,‘this is what I really wanna do!’

The last decade or so has seen her collaborate with artists from Goldie to Incognito to Jacob Collier. Williams’ reach extends to many artists across a diverse scene. She has toured extensively with the Ronnie Scott’s house band, the Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, playing the Blue Note Caribbean Jazz Cruise alongside Gregory Porter, Diane Reeves, Pat Metheny and Marcus Miller, Birdland Jazz Club in NYC; Rochester Jazz Festival and their annual residency at the Zermatt Unplugged Festival in Switzerland where she has performed with Paolo Nutini, Gabrielle, Lisa Stansfield, Emeli Sande and Jessie J. This included a performance at the Royal Albert Hall, in November 2019, for Ronnie Scott’s 60th Anniversary concert, alongside Roy Ayers, Kurt Elling, Van Morrison and Imelda May. Additionally, Natalie has regularly toured France and Europe with one of France’s most celebrated jazz and funk musicians, Eric Legnini, playing the Nice Jazz Festival and St Emilion Jazz Festival amongst others. Her own band, Natalie Williams’ Soul Family, are a staple favourite of the Love Supreme Festival, with their Youtube videos having combined views of more than 8 million streams.

29th November 2025 - OTTY JAZZ QUARTET featuring MISS JOLIE PAPILLON

Hailed as the award-winning, world-renowned “Queen of Classic Burlesque” by The Stage and recognised as “Burlesque Royalty,” Miss Jolie Papillon is celebrated for her exquisite dance artistry and meticulously crafted choreographies. Complemented by breathtaking, jewel-adorned costumes and unparalleled attention to every refined detail, her performances are delivered with magnetic stage presence and irresistible charm.

A published model, Jolie has been featured in prestigious fashion magazines such as Vanity Fair and Vogue, and in various burlesque books, including the award-winning – STRIP | TEASE , showcasing the photography of Tigz Rice. She has been recognised multiple times as one of the most influential figures in the Burlesque industry in the U.K. and beyond.

Otty is a soulful and versatile vocalist with experience that makes him no stranger to the stage. His rich tone draws comparisons with the likes of John Legend and Luther Vandross. Possessing a huge repertoire and ability to perform multiple genres, Otty regularly works as a lead vocalist for high-profile events both locally and abroad. From festivals to intimate gatherings, large choir projects to artist backing vocals, Otty has seen and done it all. He is also skilled with session work including backing vocals, vocal arranging and voice over work.

Complementing Otty’s musical ability is a professional attitude and an infectious personality that makes him both reliable and easy to work with. Otty manages a stellar music collective called, The SoundHouse Band who provide live music and
entertainment for all occasions.

Rebecca Poole is a highly acclaimed singer-songwriter best known for supporting Jools Holland on a UK tour, with knock out shows at the Royal Albert Hall – Singing at the London Palladium with Simply Red – Performing her self-penned Remembrance song to 90,000 at Wembley Stadium – Sharing the stage with Jamie Cullum at Cheltenham Jazz Festival and supporting Lana Del Rey on Necker Island. Her unique sultry tones landed her a part in hit Netflix series – ‘The Crown’ singing ‘Can’t take my eyes off you’ and her latest album ‘Dreamers Ball’ has garnered sensational reviews and Record of the Week on BBC Sounds, Jazz Fm and Smooth Jazz. Rebecca is a master entertainer with an infectiously playful character, deep velvet vocals and great variety of heart achingly romantic ballads, feel good swing, Americana and moody blues.
